Compile With Delphi

Why can't the Free Pascal Compiler be compiled with Delphi ?

This used to be possible in the past, but now all the Delphi specifics and workaround have been removed. Version 1.9.4 was the last to still have them, but even with them, the Delphi (Kylix 2-3 and Delphi 6/7 were the commonly used versions) compiler crashes with internal errors and other problems, even with the optimizer disabled.
